You've pushed past timberline, the wind is rising, and the stars are about to explode into view; this is precisely where the Outdoor Research Helium Bivy earns its keep. Engineered for the deep wilderness wanderer or the fast-and-light mountaineer, this shelter nearly vanishes in your pack at just 15.8n ounces and a compact 12.25 x 3.5 footprint. Its advanced Pertex Shield 2.5L fabric and fully seam-taped construction are an impenetrable barrier against unpredictable weather, shedding relentless rain and biting wind while expertly managing internal moisture, keeping your sleep system dry and comfortable. A cleverly designed single-pole architecture creates surprising headroom, complemented by a high-volume toe box and a clamshell opening that reveals no-see-um mesh for stargazing and ventilation without the bug invasion. With a robust 40D floor built to withstand rugged ground and thoughtful details like a secure strap for your sleep pad and an internal pocket, the Helium Bivy offers robust, minimalist sanctuary, transforming any exposed ledge or forested nook into a reliable overnight haven for your next unencumbered journey.
